I’m drawn to telling daring, emotionally charged stories that spark conversation around difficult and often unspoken topics— through the lens of the psychological thriller. By using genre as a vehicle, I’m able to explore trauma, identity, and healing in a way that feels both visceral and accessible.
While the horror genre has been long underestimated—often overlooked by the film festival circuit despite its cultural significance—it continues to dominate box office returns and serve as one of the most effective mirrors of society. Horror doesn’t just entertain; it interrogates. Like Jordan Peele did so masterfully in “Get Out”, using horror as a metaphor to expose the realities of being Black in America, I aim to use this genre to tell female-driven stories that speak to the complexities of being a woman today.
Through horror and psychological thrillers, I want to give voice to women’s inner lives—their rage, resilience, silence, and survival—and offer stories that resonate across age, background, and experience.
